The speaker this month was Chris Westwood giving a demonstration of one stroke painting: a fascinating and unique mode of painting that originated in America in the 1970’s using Acrylic paints to achieve amazing pictures of flowers in the ‘Folk Art’ style.
Chris brought some delightful samples of her work for members to purchase. The recent visit to the Barber Institute, Winterbourne House, Edgbaston, Birmingham, was a huge success. The Edwardian house and gardens made a wonderful setting for the Art display.
Congratulations to the skittle team for winning the first two matches of the season, their next match will be against Franche WI.
