ASTLEY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: Members were very pleased to see fine weather for the Annual Show held on August 13. Committee members were up bright and early to get the tables in the hall ready for all the displays. Show secretary Robin Saunders was really pleased to say he had received entries from 26 exhibitors making grand a total of 291 exhibits. These were staged between 10-30am and 12-30pm and the whole room was transformed and alive with vibrant displays of colour and intoxicating perfume.The judges were well pleased with the high standards and presentations achieved with the flowers, vegetables, fruit and,culinary entries. In section 4 floral art the carnival and good day sunshine themes were spectacular achieving high marks. Doors opened 2.30pm
