At the next meeting the talk will be, “The Lord Leycester Hospital at Warwick”. Lt Col Gerald Lesinski, who is described as a ‘fantastically entertaining’ will divulge the backgrounds of misconceptions about this historic place.

Firstly that it is not a medical hospital and secondly that it is not in Leicester which may explain the spelling. I am intrigued to find out about the link to Penshurst Place in the county of Kent and how this establishment was preserved from Henry VIII.

To follow this talk on a date to be arranged; you will be warmly welcomed to visit The Lord Leycester Hospital and doubtless you will want to investigate what you have learnt about and experience the hospitality.

All lectures are held in Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall DY10 4QA.

The meeting will be on October 21 at 7.30pm. Enquiries to Rob Blakeway 01562 777679, robandjoyblakeway@ gmail.com
