On November 25, Real War Horse by Robin Hill. Until recent times all the wars of the past would have relied almost entirely on the horse for crucial tactics and strategy.
We are all familiar with War Horse as a children’s novel by Michael Morpurgo, a poignant story that captures the imagination of children and adults alike. If you want to know more about the horse hero of war then Robin Hill has fascinating insights into the role played by horses in the Great War. All lectures are held in Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall, on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.
