CLENT MOTHER'S UNION: The March meeting was very special; first, it was Holy Communion and, second, we were delighted to welcome and enrol two new members, Jean Oliver and Janet Read.
It was a beautiful sunny day; the service was conducted by Rev Richard Newton. Harry Grove very kindly played the organ for us, which made the service even more special, and Diocesan MU Leaders Liz Green enrolled our two new members.
Following the service, we enjoyed tea and hot cross buns, provided by Jan Woolley.
The next meeting is on May 11, at 10am in Clent Parish Hall. This will be our annual Coffee Morning, which is also our main fundraising event helping to support Mothers’ Union projects in this country and abroad.
As usual, we do need donations of cakes, preserves, books, jigsaws, items of glass/china/jewellery (ie collectibles). There will also be a well stocked plant stall. Any donations as listed above would be very much appreciated but, more important, we would be most grateful for your company on the day. Admission £1 to cover coffee and biscuits, plus top-ups.
