Angus and Ross Theatre Company, in association with Shindig, will be presenting Kings of the Cloth of Gold on Saturday, March 16 at 7.30pm.
The play is set in 1520 when Henry VIII meets Francis I of France in a French field and they proceed to display their fabulous power and wealth. For ten days they attempt to outdo one another in displays of feasting and battlefield prowess.
There is much interesting historical detail while author Tony Liddington’s script provides Dominic Goodwin (Henry VIII) and fellow actor Emanuel Brierley (Francis I) with much comic opportunity and physical fun. Tickets are £9 (adults) and £7 (children) including interval refreshments. They are available by calling 01299 822987 or 829112.
