John Watterson, who is currently supporting Fairport Convention on their 2013 winter tour, will be reliving the songs and humour of Jake Thackray on Friday, April 19 at 8pm.
John will be performing as ‘Fake Thackray’. Jake Thackray’s satirical, witty, sentimental, hilarious songs brought him fame and extensive television exposure as well as a string of top selling albums in the 1960s and 70s. Greatly missed by all his fans following his untimely death in 2002, his legacy of scores of superb songs continues to delight audiences of all ages today.
John Watterson’s tribute to Jake is full of the warmth, humour and sincerity that you would expect of a life-long fan. It promises to be a truly entertaining night.
Tickets, priced £10, are available from 01299 922987.
