John Watterson will be performing as ‘Fake Thackray’ in a tribute to singer-songwriter-comedian Jake Thackray at the hall tonight at 8pm.
Jake Thackray’s satirical, witty, sentimental, hilarious songs brought him fame and extensive television exposure as well as a string of top selling albums in the 1960s and 70s.
Jake died in 2002 but John Watterson’s tribute to Jake is full of the warmth, humour and sincerity.
Tickets, priced £10, are available from 01299 922987.
