The hall will be hosting an apple pressing event this weekend.
The event is open on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
Plastic containers for the pressed juice will be available to purchase at a small cost. The resulting juice can be consumed fresh, frozen or even made into cider.
Please don’t bring rotten or windfall fruit, particularly from orchards that have been recently grazed by animals There will also be the usual apple pie competition. Apple pies should have a pastry top and bottom and be on a plate. Pies should be at the hall by noon on Saturday ready for judging.
Tea, coffee and cakes will be available on both days, together with bacon butties and ploughman’s lunches. Local cider will also be available for purchase.
