A festively-decorated Cadmore Lodge welcomed members for their Christmas lunch.
After a warm welcome from president Val Evans, it was the cue to pull the crackers, tell the jokes and don the fancy hats before the hotel staff served an enjoyable meal.
Thanks to Pauline Blumer for making the arrangements and to Pauline and Carol Marsh for the excellent raffle prizes. Everyone received a gift from the bran tub and a Christmas card on behalf of the WI.
Secretary Lyn Bowen announced the first meeting of 2013 would be held on January 14 at Mamble Village Hall, starting at 2pm, and the Institute will celebrate its 94th year.
Malcolm Jones from Bayton will talk about ‘Eleanor of Aquitaine’. There will be a trading stall and the competition is an item relating to the month of January.
New members and visitors will be made extremely welcome.
