The first meeting in 2015 and the Institute’s 97th year was well attended.The 2015 programme includes talks on travels to Canada, and steam to Darjeeling, tv location tales and Britain thro’ a Camera.
This meeting’s speaker was Malcolm Jones who tried to prove history was incorrect with his talk “Murder Mystery in the Tower”.
Names were taken for the Michael Portillo Centenary lunch, and seats at the Regal Cinema, Tenbury Wells, for the screening of the AGM in June.
The Heart Foundation are asking for people to wear red on February 6, so it is suggested that members wear something red at the next meeting on February 9.
This will take place at Mamble Village Hall starting at 2pm. There will be a trading stall and the competition is an item beginning with “L”.
