STOURPORT FLORAL ART: Former Florist and now a NAFAS Demonstrator Julie Mitchell provided a very interesting and informative evenings entertainment on June 26.
Her title "A day at the races" gave rise to arrangements covering "The winning post" a continental arrangement of green foliage and flowers.
Her arrangements all held beautiful flowers and included spectacular gerberas and tall pink larkspur.A champagne glass overflowing with soft white flowers and bubbles competed with a hat for Ascot made from madolin stems with a lovely arrangement in the centre for the applause from the audience. An arrangement titled “The enclosure” was her finale and chairman Joan Kinsella thanked her for a lovely evening before asking Joan Southerton to give the vote of thanks on behalf of the audience.
All the arrangements were raffled and tickets were purchased for the next meeting on July 31 which is a special memorial demonstration for Joy Cook by Sandra Snell "Summer Magic" at the Stourport Sports Centre Kingsway
Tickets are £9 and available from Joan Southerton Tel 01299 823882.
A donation from this year’s charity is for The Millbrook Suite Kidderminster Hospital.
