Stourport Mitton WI
On September 21, WI members welcomed a local crafts woman to demonstrate her creative work with pewter. We heard about the uses of pewter; its attributes for jewellery and utensils and the history associated with trade in Bewdley. Members saw the casting and polishing of a unique piece of jewellery and were thrilled to see a local artist at work.
Mitton WI meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in the St Michael's and All Angels Church Hall, Stourport on Severn and new members and visitors are always welcome. To find out more please visit our Facebook page 'Thoroughly Modern Mitton WI' or email mittonwi@outlook.com.
The next meeting will be on October 19 at 7.30pm when we will be hearing about of the work of a paramedic.
Come along to find out what the WI can offer, make friends and become inspired!
