President Margaret Mills reported on the visit to the Rose Theatre to see Hot Mikado. The skittles team had won their last game against Cookley and Eileen Whitfield was the highest scorer.
Pat Bourne reported on both the group meeting and the annual council meeting.
Members were reminded of the display and demonstration day at Blakedown on Thursday, May 7. Muriel Owen is organising Stone’s contribution. The canal walk with lunch is on June 17 at 10.30am. and the visit to Orleton House is on July 1.
Gordon Forrest of the Wildlife Trust came at short notice and gave a talk with slides showing Chaddesley Woods. The winner of the competition for a picture of a dog was won by Eileen Sturgeon.
The next meeting will be on Monday, May 4. This will be the resolutions meeting and the guest speaker will be David Mills on S.O.S. for honey bees. A ploughmans supper will be provided. Visitors always welcome at the Oaks Community Hall, Mustow Green at 7.30pm.
