At the June 1 meeting members were reminded of the canal walk and lunch on June 17 and the visit to Orleton House on July 1.
Muriel Owen reported on the display and demo day at Blakedown where Stone WI received a silver gilt award for the work entered by Muriel, Joan Docherty, Lesley Grant and Sue Potter.
President Margaret Mills encouraged members to attend the Worcestershire Federation weekend at Denman College next March.
Names were taken for the fund-raising lunch at Pepwell on Monday, July 27.
Speaker Ray Sturdy took members on a nostalgic trip down memory lane with his talk and lovely slides of the ‘swinging sixties’.
The next meeting is on Monday, July 6 when Alan Thornton’s talk will be ‘a day in the life of a seaside hotelier’. The competition is for a seaside postcard.
