June Homer gave a report from the recent AGM at the Albert Hall. Liz Jinks reported on the canal walk followed by lunch at The Lock and Pat Bourne reported on the visit to the gardens of Orleton House.
President Margaret Mills reported on the painting day at Stourport which coincided with the official opening of the Windlass Restaurant and a birthday celebration.
Members were reminded of the social evening on Monday, August 3 at the home of Pat and Roger Bourne at 7.30pm. There is a fund-raising Lunch on Monday, July 27 at 12.30pm at the home of Margaret and David Mills.
The speaker for the evening was Alan Thornton who kept everyone amused with his comical anecdotes of ‘a day in the life of a seaside hotelier’.
The September meeting will be held on Monday, September 7 when Judy Berrow will talk on ‘starting from scratch’. The competition is for a flower from your garden.
