Guest speaker Adrian James showed magnificent slides of the flowers and wildlife of Southern Africa at the group’s April meeting.
He had travelled extensively from Zanzibar through Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia to South Africa giving members a taste of the differences in the landscapes, flora and fauna of this vast continent.
Pat Bourne gave the report from the Annual Council Meeting held at Malvern in March. She reported that this had been an excellent meeting which this year had been combined with the Spring Home Economics & Craft Rally. The main speaker, Bob Flowerdew from Gardeners Question Time gave a very interesting and entertaining talk, and members were encouraged to donate their old bras to help the Worcestershire Breast Cancer fundraising appeal.
The next meeting will be held on the May 10 when the resolution for the AGM in June in Cardiff will be discussed.
Meetings are held monthly at the Oaks Community Hall, Mustow Green, at 7.30pm where visitors are most welcome. Further details from secretary Sue Potter 01562 630015.
