WI adviser Suzanne Owen explained the many intricacies involved in food labelling as members voted for the WI Resolution for the AGM in Cardiff in June.
All members agreed there was a real need for labels to be easily read and understood, and voted for the resolution unanimously.
Sylvia Roberts reported that the last Skittles Match of the season was a resounding loss, but everyone enjoyed the evening amongst good company.
Maureen Ingram was presented with a gift for being highest scorer overall, and Eileen Whitfield received a prize for coming a close second.
Secretary Sue Potter reported they received letters of thanks for hosting the Group Meeting on April 22, from Jill Lowe , Group Co-ordinator, and Susanne Owen, WI adviser.
An Invitation to a Victorian Tea Party on June 7 at 3.30pm has been received from Franche WI. Members were also interested in the Celebrity Luncheon on June 24 at the Hundred House.
The next meeting will be held on Monday June 7 when Louvain Beer will speak on ‘Honey I’ve Poisoned your Lunch’, and the competition is ‘My Favourite Jug.’.
Meetings are held monthly at The Oaks Community Hall, Mustow Green at 7.30pm. where visitors are most welcome.
