April was a busy month for the club, as we held a very successful and well attended fashion show.
A new club secretary, Hazel Thomas was welcomed, following the resignation of Norma Dalton after many years in the job;thank you Norma. Janine Hall who demonstrated in April “Born to shop”
gave members a night with her stories and in May, Yvonne Mort gave a demonstration and talk on pressed flowers and how to use them and once again a very enjoyable evening.
The club also took part in the showcase of leisure activities in Kidderminster and District at St Marys and All Saints Church and there were many displays detailing activities available in the area.
The club’s annual outing was to Chipping Campden and Kiftsgate Court Gardens.
In July the club ran a stall at the Wolverley Carnival and raised funds for the club selling home-made cakes, jams, chutneys and plants and a raffle.
Jackie Beard was also welcomed, who demonstrated her take on summertime.
In August Hazel West will give a teaching flower demonstration and members will be able to pick up tips on how to make their own flowers more attractive.
