The committee are busy and members continue to enjoying their autumn meetings. September saw a talk on Operation Christmas Child, and October a talk in the story of small town cinemas.
Knit ‘n’ Natter afternoons are not only quality time with friends, but also very productive in enabling members to finally get that craft project finished with lots of advice and encouragement from everyone present! The next one is October 19, do bring along that project you have promised yourself you’ll finish.
Several members are off on a number of trips, practising for the annual carol concert and of course visiting Denman college.
We eagerly await their reports.
On November 9 we look forward to our very own president sharing stories on Namibia. Then our programme climaxes with our annual Christmas party on December 14. Committee are working hard to ensure there are the usual festive treats in store, and we are delighted to welcome back Cool and Uke ukulele band. Every member will definitely leave this meeting with their spirits lifted!
All are always welcome to come along and join our warm and friendly WI.
