The ladies met for their AGM on November 9. Significantly, this was also the anniversary of the first WI meeting in England 100 years ago.
Members enjoyed a talk from our president on her trip to Namibia last year. The talk was very interesting and the photographs beautiful.
The Christmas concert is on December 4 at St Phillip and St James church, Hallow. Tickets are £9, in advance or on the door.
As the year begins to draw to a close we are again looking forward to our December Christmas Party meeting on December 14. There will be the traditional card exchange, American Supper including our famous Wolverley WI punch and new to this year Santa’s Socks present exchange. We are also delighted and lucky to be able to welcome back cool and Uke ukulele band with their uplifting entertainment.
All are very welcome to visit us for this meeting and enjoy the evening with us.
Sue is accepting names for our annual new year meal at the Lock Inn on January 18, let her know if you will be joining us.
From January 4, the group will meet on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm at Wolverley Church Hall.
If you would like to join the WI, see our Facebook page, contact a committee member or come along to a meeting and see what the group is about, you will be very welcome.
