WOLVERLEY WI: The second meeting of 2016 was held on windy Monday, February 1 the ladies welcomed speaker David Chatterley, who gave an informative talk on the history of the teddy bear. Some of which was closer to home than a number of us realised! Lots of members were accompanied by their Teddy Bears and David kindly told them a bit more about them.
A delicious meal was had at the Lock on January 18, thank you to Sue for organising this again.Thank you must also go to Sally for our beautiful hand made green hearts to tie in with this month's WI Life, and the card we all received.
Members are encouraged to attend the Let's group meeting on 13th April which will be hosted by Trimpley Green WI.
At the next meeting on March 7, David Baker will be talking about the Black Country Museum. We look forward to hearing our entries for the Limerick competition - see the flyer for the compulsory opening line. There will also be a book stall and raffle.
The meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month at 7.30pm in Wolverley Church Hall. All are very welcome to come along.
