WOLVERLEY WI: On December 4 saw the final, and very festive, meeting of 2017 for the ladies of Wolverley WI.
The evening of home grown entertainment showed some of the talents of our members and treated members to carol singing, poetry readings, humorous verse and a particularly enlightening re-enactment of an interview.
The American Suppers, and infamous punch, never fail to provide a delicious feast and this night was no exception. Thank you to all members and committee members who made tonight, and all our other nights, possible.
Cards were exchanged and Santas socks distributed. Raffle prizes were plentiful, with lots of members winning the perfect prize for them, including a particularly welcomed poinsettia.
A big thank you to all members who have been generously donating items throughout December for advent boxes too.
We look forward to our centenary year beginning in style with our New Year dinner on 15th January.
The first meeting in 2018 will be held on February 5, the speaker will be Geoff Bailey on The Four Invasions of Kidderminster. We will be holding a Bring and Buy Table at this meeting, so please bring any items you may have. Members are reminded subs will be due at this meeting.
We have a full and varied programme organised for the 100th year look forward to enjoying the year in the company of friends old and new.
The group meets on the first Monday of each month in Wolverley Church Hall at 7.30pm. All are very welcome. If you would like to find out more, see any member or visit the Facebook page.
