We have had a busy year in PSRE.
In October a group of year nine students were invited to attend the local SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education) meeting in Worcester. Aaliyah Walsh, Lauren Bromell, Olivia Crannage and Victoria MacAskill gave heartfelt speeches about the importance of religious education in secondary school and why they enjoyed PSRE at Wolverley.
The panel then quizzed the girls about various moral issues and how they are dealt with at Wolverley. Once again the girls gave excellent answers, leaving the panel highly impressed.
This year we have also encouraged students to enter a poetry competition based on spirituality. The competition required all participants to write on a specific theme that delved into their own understanding of spirituality. The themes to choose from were: being human, the promise, reflections, where is God? or path of life. The students who entered were given certificates for some outstanding poems.
