It was a mixed weekend of results for Stourport over the weekend, with the ladies faring much better than the men.
Stourport ladies firsts claimed a 2-0 victory over Beeston in the National League on Monday (October 7).
Stourport made the breakthrough when Sarah Cavendish's quick free hit found Leanne Howells-Bennett, whose baseline ball was deflected into the goal before the lead was doubled in the second half with a flick over the keeper.

In the ladies' seconds match, Stourport defeated Old Sills 3-1 thanks to Olivia Laight's penalty flick, Sophie Stokes and a lovely reverse stick shot.
The men's fifths faced a tough match against Harborne fifths, suffering a 5-0 defeat despite the efforts of player of the match Ben Browne.
The under-16 girls were victorious over Marlow 6-2, while the boys lost to Bowden 3-0.
The under-14 girls lost 4-1 to Beeston in the first round of the cup, which sees them move into the Plate competition.
