This weekend saw only three games take place with mixed results, one win, one loss and one cup progression sums it up. Neither of the Ladies teams were in action as many players had decided to go to Wembley to watch England ladies, and the remaining scheduled games all fell foul to the weather.

St John’s Pumas 0 v 4 Wyre Forest Phoenix Raiders Girls
The Under 10 Raiders were away this week to play their first cup game of the season, with the game being postponed last week. With a satisfying 0-4 win they they succeeded to progress to the next round.
Withymore Colts 1 v 6 Wyre Forest Phoenix Girls
The Under 11’s started this game feeling optimistic that we would hopefully get some more points, and score lots of goals, we certainly did this! Goals consisted of two hat tricks from Olivia Wood and Holly Tew. It was a great solid performance from the girls scoring 4 out of the 6 in the first half. Although there were some defensive errors from the whole of the team, as a general rule, we were strong and did not let much past the defence. Goals were very well taken in all instances and they would have course not been possible without some great creative play from Ellie Symons, Mollie Moore, and new signing Phoebe Reed. The girls have done very well in the past few weeks, and have worked hard, which is all we could ask of them. We’re so proud and looking forward to the future games. Girl of the game went to Olivia Wood who upped her game, and constantly battled with great runs with the ball.
Wyre Forest Phoenix Girls 1 v 6 Wyrley Pumas
Although the Under 18 have lost most of their games this season, a lot of effort went into some, particularly against top of the table some weeks back when we lost 0-5, but played their our socks off with only nine players. Today we lost again and conceded six goals against Wyrley Pumas who, until today, were winless and had only scored five league goals in nine matches. To say this result was disappointing is rather an understatement, however Player of the Match went to keeper Megan Potter who once again pulled off some fantastic saves.
