HARRIERS have snapped up Premier League duo Ben Whitfield and Joe Ward from Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion respectively.
Whitfield, 19, began his career with Bradford City before rising through the ranks at Guiseley, making it all the way through to the first team before being snapped up by the Cherries.
An attacking midfield player, Ben has been a regular in the U21s on the south coast and will stay at Aggborough for the next month.
Baggies youngster Ward, who turns 19 next week, has been with the Hawthorns outfit for a number of years and has also been a regular in the Premier League 21s division.
A couple of weeks ago, the midfielder also made the first team bench in the Albion’s League Cup defeat at fellow Premier League side Norwich City.
Ward also joins Harriers for the next month, with both players set to be available to Dave Hockaday for the Tuesday night trip to Altrincham.
“Joe and Ben look to be good technicians,” Head coach Hockaday said, of the duo.
“They have been groomed at good football clubs so, if and when called upon, I believe they’ll give us a little more bravery and technical ability on the ball.”
Harriers can also confirm that West Brom youngster Andre Wright has returned to the Hawthorns after the two clubs agreed to end his loan spell at Aggborough.
