WYRE Forest are calling on former players to help the club celebrate its 25th anniversary by taking part in a special match on Saturday.

The club, which plays in the Saturday Premier Division, is holding a game where the current players take on the old boys at the Springfield Park pitches.

Former players interested in taking part should meet at the pitches, just off the Stourport Road, at 1pm so the teams can be selected and the game kicks-off at 2pm.

Celebrations will continue at the King and Castle pub, near the Severn Valley Railway, from 8pm on Saturday night.

The club has won 65 trophies in its time and secured the last two Saturday Premier Division titles.

In the Sunday Premier Division Bewdley got the better of Oakham United 5-2.

Chaddlesley Corbett were knocked out of the Bromsgrove Sunday Minor Cup semi-finals when they lost 4-2 to Hanbury.
