CYCLING: Gary Bartram made a solid start to the new season at the Coalville Wheelers 25 mile time trial in Leicestershire on Sunday.
The Wyre Forest CRC rider finished the course in one hour, four minutes and 37 seconds.
Bartram will be joining team-mates Dave Barnes and Mark West in the Wrekinsport Hill time trials this weekend.
The club was out in force at the Bromsgrove Olympique CC reliability trial, which saw riders tackle a tough 60m course.
The first group containing Jack Kirk, Paul Prince and Phil Blacker and Mark West set a fast pace and completed the course in 2-30.
In the second group Andy Overton was forced to pull out after crashing and was helped by Ruth Blacker, who also retired. The remaining riders, Dave Prior, John Smith, Chris Poole, Dave Meacham, and Salim Abutier finished comfortably within the time limit.
There was a good turnout of Wyre Forest riders in the Droitwich Over the Malverns' Audax on Sunday.
Riders had to contend with gusting winds over the hilly 161 kilometre course that took in Droitwich, Malvern and Newent.
The riders had to contend with a strong headwind over the long first section to Newent, making it a tough day in the saddle for John Smith, Chris Morris, Matt Krstic and Richard Pedersen who all finished safely within the time limit, The club raffle at the annual prize presentation raised a total of £95 for the County's Air Ambulance.Further details about the club can be obtained visiting www.wfcrc.org.uk
