RUNNERS from Kidderminster and Stourport AC took part in the club's Treat Multi Terrain eight mile event on Sunday.
The club, which has been hit by the burning down of its clubhouse, rallied to stage the event which takes competitors through Stourport's countryside.
Tom Kenderine proved to be the star of the show by winning the event in a time of 45 mins and 11 secs.
Amazing Feet also sent a strong contingent to the competition, which they also used as the fourth round of the club's annual race league.
Louise Massey finished in 31st place overall and was the second lady to finish in 58-01, while David Whymant won the M60 championship and finished 19th overall in 55-11.
Craig Bone leads the race for the 2008 title with John Amos, David Whymant and Mark Bailey not far behind. In the ladies' league, Louise Massey has a large lead over absent Rachel Ward, with Ellie Hooper in third place.
Ward finished 114th at the Stafford 20, finishing in a time of two hours 33-09. The time was enough to secure first place in the F45 category and seal the ninth women's spot.
Other club runners to finish in Stafford were Chris Catchpole (2-25-39, 75th), Julie Draper (3-11-48, 274th) and Jan Flavell-Raybone (3-24-37, 303rd).
n Kidderminster and Stourport had three runners taking part in the Ironbridge half marathon, with Christine Sedman-Smith winning the veterans' 55-year-old section in a time of 1-46, followed by Judy Harler (1-57) and Mick Hudson (2-04).
In the Gloucestershire 20 mile event Caroline Cresswell and Rachel Heath set strong times.
The club also had three students take part in the English Independent Schools Cross Country Championships in Liverpool.
Chloe Richardson finished 69th out of a 335 strong junior girls field, while Charlotte Whorton came 210th in the senior girls (out of 309 competitors) and Craig Baldwin came 306th in the boys section.
