SWIMMING: Wyre Forest stormed to victory in the second round of the Ross Junior League in Worcester.
The team was too strong for their rivals and finished with a healthy points lead over second placed Haden Hill.
Wyre member Forest Fran O'Connor tested herself against some of the best disabled swimmers in Europe at the Danish Open Championships over the weekend.
The 17-year-old won gold in the 200m freestyle and shaved 15 seconds off the British title.
O'Connor, who has cerebral palsy, won bronze in the 100m freestyle and 50m backstroke events and missed out on a medal in the 50m freestyle when she finished fourth.
Members of the club also shone in the Worcestershire County Championships.
Eliza Bradley, 13, won three gold medals and two silvers and set a new championship record in the 50 metres backstroke and 50m butterfly. She also obtained the qualifying times for the Midlands District Finals.
Alex Renton, 9, won two silver medals in the 200m breaststroke and 50m backstroke and secured bronze in the 100m individual medley.
Luke Barnett sealed a bronze in the 400m individual medley, while Megan Tinsdale won bronze in the 100m medley and Jessica Lewis finished third in the 50m backstroke.
Scott Allin won bronzes in the 50m and 100m backstroke races, while Luke Ladbrooke won silver in the 50m backstroke and finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 50m and 100m backstroke races, In the 50m backstroke Oche Igoche won bronze and silver in the 100m medley.
