Worcester 3
Harriers 2
AN EXTRA-TIME goal saw Harriers crash out of the Worcestershire Senior Cup at St George's Lane on Monday night.
Twice the visitors battled back from behind but City substitute Mark Danks' header in the 113th minute sealed defeat.
Manager Mark Yates fieled a much-changed side, which included himself, assisant Neil Howarth and physio Ian Foster.
The hosts went ahead in the fourth minute when Paul Bignot missed Jamie Price's free-kick and Matt Dinsmore slotted the ball past keeper Dean Coleman.
Foster levelled the scores in the 30th minute with a fortunate effort, when his left wing cross was missed by shot-sopper Cameron Belford and nestled in the back of the net.
Price restored City's advantage in the second half when his powerful free-kick from the right wing sneaked past Coleman at the far post.
But Harriers hit back when Howarth grabbed a scrappy leveller in the 66th minute when he prodded home a corner.
The visitors pressed for a winner but Penn saw a spectacular 30-yard effort acrobatically saved by Belford near the end of normal time.
City's keeper denied Matthew Barnes-Homer twice in the first period of extra-time.
Danks then settled the derby clash when his powerful header from Price's corner was spilled over the line by Coleman, to ensure Worcester will meet Redditch United in the final.
