Worcestershire head coach Alan Richardson says there is room for optimism following their performances so far in the 2024 Vitality County Championship.
The club are currently sitting in eighth position in Division One, with a record of five draws and two losses.
However, they've been in a position to challenge for victory in four of these matches.

Most recently the Pears drew with Nottinghamshire, which ended without a result after rain washed out the final day of play at Visit Worcestershire New Road, bringing the team a haul of nine points.
Richardson reflected: "It's quite difficult actually.
"For us, we didn't quite know how it was going to go.
"We've played some really good cricket for the majority of it."
He added that the team has set themselves up well in four matches, although it didn't quite result in wins.
Richardson said: "We should take some real heart from those first seven games, especially the performances in those four.
"We've had some really challenging times as well which is what we expected.
"We've really enjoyed it so far.
"We've played against some outstanding teams at some amazing venues."
The second half of the season will really ramp things up.
There are eight T20 matches to be played, followed by two county matches.
Richardson said: "It will be nice to put some more good performances together and see where that takes us.
"You like to think about the performances first and foremost and those have put us in a position to be competitive.
“You don’t want to be too greedy. It should give us some great belief going forward."
Richardson concluded: "In the last game and a half, we haven't shown what we can do and that’s not a fair representation but in other games we have done."
