KIDDERMINSTER Harriers begin their 2024-25 season after relegation with a long trip to Darlington in National League North.

Phil Brown’s charges will head to the north-east for the opener on Saturday, August 10 (3pm).

Back-to-back home games follow on Saturday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 20 against Radcliffe and Brackley Town respectively.

Over the festive period Harriers head to Hereford on Boxing Day before welcoming Rushall Olympic to Aggborough on New Year’s Day.

The campaign closes next spring at Southport on Saturday, April 26.

Harriers start their pre-season friendlies this week at Championship outfit Cardiff City on Wednesday.

Then they go to county Hellenic League side Droitwich Spa on Saturday (3pm).

Meanwhile, Harriers have swooped to re-sign Walsall's Joe Foulkes on a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old spent two of the last three seasons on loan with Harriers, making 67 appearances and scoring three goals as the club won the National League North play-offs.

Foulkes featured in more than 20 games for League Two outfit Walsall last term but, having left the Saddlers, has now returned to Aggborough to stay.

Harriers boss Brown has also moved to sign winger Maliq Cadogan on loan from Championship side Swansea City.

The 20-year-old, who has joined until January, has been with Swansea for the last year, having spent six years with Crystal Palace.

Harriers also added major experience to the squad with the arrival of midfielder Luke Summerfield.

The 36-year-old has the best part of 600 senior career appearances to his name, including at Championship and League One level.

The former Plymouth Argyle youngster, who counts Cheltenham Town, Shrewsbury Town, Grimsby Town and Wrexham among his former clubs, has signed a one-year deal.

It comes after a four-year spell in the National League with FC Halifax Town where he played over 100 games as the Shaymen made the play-offs.

Forward Gold Omotayo has left Harriers to re-join former club and league rivals King’s Lynn Town.

Omotayo joined Harriers last December for an undisclosed fee and made eight starts in league and FA Trophy matches, scoring three goals.

Fellow forward Kieran Phillips has also left Harriers after his Aggborough deal was cancelled by mutual consent.

Phillips joined last summer and featured in the first part of last season before spending time out on loan but he has returned to former club Gloucester City.
