Several Worcestershire CCC players will be in action across the globe this winter.

They will be playing franchise, first-class, and grade cricket.

Opener Ed Pollock is returning to Sydney to play for St George CC in the New South Wales Premier Cricket competition.

In the past the club has produced several top Australian players, including the likes of Sir Donald Bradman, Ray Lindwall, and more recently Josh Hazlewood.

Keeper-batter Henry Cullen is heading to Adelaide to represent Woodville CC in the South Australian Premier Cricket competition.

Pace bowler Harry Darley will play for Ulverstone in the North Western Tasmanian Cricket Association grade competition.

Keeper-batter Gareth Roderick skipper Cape Town side Green Point for a third successive winter in the Western Province Premier Division.

Kashif Ali will play for Ghani Glass in Pakistan’s first-class competition, the President’s Cup from January 6 to March 7, in addition to a chunk of club cricket.

Adam Hose has been selected by Desert Vipers for the International League T20 in the UAE from January 11 to February 9.

Worcestershire head coach, Alan Richardson, said: "I’ve always encouraged lads to go and play abroad.

"I’ve banged this drum a lot but it is a great opportunity for guys to widen their cricketing experience and their life experience in general.

"It makes them more rounded people and not only that, it is a perfect balance for guys.

"They get an opportunity to train in the week and play at weekends."
