HARRIERS boss Steve Burr believes every member of his squad must be ready for a hectic period.

The Aggborough outfit, who lost at Altrincham 3-2 yesterday, entertain Rushden and Diamonds tomorrow (3pm kick-off), before trips to Barrow and Gateshead on Thursday and Saturday respectively.

Harriers have several injuries going into that period, with Lee Baker and John Finnigan coming back from problems and Duane Courtney limping off on Saturday.

Burr could recall Liam Dolman from Corby but looks set to stick with the group he's got.

"I thought Duane did really well and gave us something down the right side and we'll have to see how he is for Monday but it's not looking too good.

"We've got a hectic period coming up and everybody will have to be ready to be used and put a performance in.

"We'll utilise the squad, even though it's a small one, but we'll have to use it the best we can over the next week or so."

Harriers will be aiming to respond after their defeat in Cheshire on Saturday.

They paid the price for poor defending that allowed Chris Denham to plunder two goals and defender Greg Young to bag a third.

Robbie Matthews had fired Harriers ahead, before Denham levelled the scores and then fired Altrincham ahead.

Matthews made it 2-2 just before half-time, but Young grabbed a memorable goal but one Harriers would forget sooner rather than later.

The centre back strode 40 yards unhindered by Harriers and beat keeper Ross Atkins with a cool effort.

Burr rued those goals, saying: "We created a number of chances but as I say the way we've defended hasn't helped our cause.

"I didn't feel as though as they though Altrincham beat us, we beat ourselves really with our mistakes.

"We had a lot of the ball but unfortunately, the goals we conceded didn't help our cause.

"Five minutes into the second half their defender ran through everybody and has scored. We should have dealt with it.

"I thought we kept trying and kept threatening a goal. We had one cleared off the line and maybe we deserved something out of the game."
