HARRIERS have banked £700 towards the cost of players' wages thanks to a World Cup competition organised by fans' group KHIST.
The money has been used to kick off the Red Army fund which is encouraging supporters to boost Mark Yates's Conference war-chest.
Fans were asked to pick a country in a sweepstake and all of those with eventual winners Italy were entered into a grand draw.
Cornwall-based Harrier Stuart Bennett won the top prize of £250 with Elizabeth Ford pocketing the second prize of £75 and Andy Chuter the £25 third prize.
KHIST and Harriers thanked everyone who entered or donated prizes.
Kidderminster's coffers have also been bolstered by £2,500 raised from the club's annual five-a-side competition back in May. The event was sponsored by Community: The Union for Life for the second year running and was won by Continental Bakery.
